The fact that they've successfully slowed the whole site down by revamping it wouldn't help.

Okay, It's been a while and this thing has been driving me crazy but heres an update.
Decals applied and clear coated. The clear has reacted slightly in places and tinted the basecoat for some reason and theres a bit of orange peel in places but dammit I want to get this off the bench so I'm calling it done. Still need to give it a rub back and a polish but i'll do that after i do the Vinyl roof.

Interior is almost finished, just a bit more detail painting on the door trims and it can be assembled. Has been converted to RHD includind remaking the @*#^$&@*@ pistol grip shifter.

Okay, It's a quite arvo at work so here's the rest of the update.
Heres the Chassis mocked up, It's all pretty much box stock as I'm going for the look of an over restored example (because I don't think i could manage the factory overspray with a rattle bomb)

The Engines almost done, just need to paint a few ancillaries like the oil filter, Exhaust manifolds and the fuel pump. Then stratch up a coil and its done. This almost ended up against the wall after being stripped 3 times, the next kit i start on is going to be from scratch. Bugger this finishing 15 year old builds with who knows what type of paint.

The latest nightmare is the wheels. I had a set of rallye's I was going to use instead of the kits magnum 500's but after painting them the crap chrome just stands out too much.
Image
So I may have to go back to the kit ones on the left but they look a litle puny. Anyone know of a decent set of Rallye's that won't look undersized on a 1/24th?
Image
The only other one's in my parts stash are very old and badly shaped AMT one's that have god lots of dust in the chrome anyway and there aint no way i'm using them sick
Image
Gotta love the way he looks down and loses it, i feel the same myself. Any suggestions for the rallye's or what kit i could get a decent set out of would be appreciated.

Ciao

Revellogram '71 Hemi 'cuda?
That's 1/24 but i'm not sure if it had Rallys or Magnums?
I know I didn't use the kit wheels when I built it. I'll try and remember to have a look in my stash tonight for you.

- just had a quick look at the gallery on Brian's Model Cars and all the box stock builds of this kit have Rallies so I should have a set you can have (I know I used the tyres but I don't think i've used the rims on anything else).

That'd be sweet Zen, thanks.
The ones I was going to use are out of a Monogram '71 'Cuda kit ( an old 80's kit in bright red so it really shines through that chrome).
Sounds like the same mould.

Yep, it's the same kit.
has a large slot in the chassis where they cut the moulded in engine & tranny away when they turned it from a promo to a more detailed kit.
This one.

Here's the wheels. I put the ruler there as a guide but as it's the same kit you won't need that.

Nice work mate. Love the right hand drive conversion. I built one of these back in the early 90's

Okay, My new wheels arrived today, courtesy of Zenrat. Exact same set so detailing like the old set will be no problems. As you can see I've already started.
