Fast & Furious Movies

Postby aussie muscle » Tue Feb 03, 2009 4:33 pm

While not a great fan of these movies, they do make some interesting additions to my model shelf.
this thread will cover Fast & Furious, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious 4.

My just completed DK's Nissan 350z. i made one mistake, trying to put decals on flat paint (should always make it gloss so you can slide them around).

Good build.

Good brain out movie (no need to think about anything).
My favourite part is the beginning when he races the Monte through the building site.
WANTED - inspiration, steady hands, better eyes and about a ton of patience.

American Muscle, I thought he would at least race more of it when I saw the beginning... but alas, start and finish only (technically not american muscle at the end but body wise)

I was thinking Donkey Kong. :?

Nice build aussie. :) Are the decals meant to be single sided like that? Half the bonnet and roof and only one down the right hand side. :? Also, this being an AMT kit, i'm presuming there's an engine. What's it like in terms of detail and realism?

yes, non symetrical decals (ie 1 side only) is correct. engine is fairly basic and low detail blobs of plastic. it goes together smoothly though. i did change the rims tho, as i didn't like the huge chromies it did have, which were incorrect too.
